The Pub - Naples

This is a great place to sit down by yourself or even better with friends, have a drink, and reminisce about the good Ole days while you are having one. The food has been consistent and delicious. The waitresses are easy on the eyes and surprisingly attentive, and the waiters are too, I must admit . This is what I imagine going to a chippie shop in the UK and getting an ice-cold beer and some fish and chips . I haven't been to the UK yet, but if they don't give me better than what I have experienced here, there will be problems. This is more on the expensive side, but the product and service well warrants the price. As a lone diner, I was well in 50$ with tip because I am no munch . But all in all this has been a great three and more visits and consistency is key and they have naild it every time. I have been here by myself, and I have been here with coworkers. And I have been here on a date with my love and every time has been great. Thanks so much for the dining experience and sharing your tables with me and my loved ones and friends. You know my rule if you follow me. Three plus times before I write a review. You have not only met the requirements for a review you have also me the requirements of me coming to your establishment on more than on occasion. So I humbly give my stamp of approval and appreciation to my 31 followers to The Pub of Naples for giving great times and a full and satisfied stomach. My first time going here. I was there in a party of 9. We had great service and also very large portion sizes. I had the "BIG" double bacon burger, cooked exactly as I asked. All of the toppings were perfectly done. My only concern was the noise level. Had trouble even hearing the person next to me. Acoustics were quite lively. Fortunately we were done before the DJ started his work.

The Pub in Mercato is much more than the title might suggest. While their beer selection is extensive and well thought out, their food menu is excellent. Known for their Fish and Chips (advertised as best in the United States), there are other dishes on the menu worth trying. For starters, their Spinach and Artichoke Dip is great, and I would highly recommend trying the Pub Spring Rolls. Some of their sandwiches are made with pretzel bread, including "The Cure Sandwich," which is hearty and delicious. The service on my last visit was excellent, and all the food was served promptly and prepared as ordered. Update: The service and good remain great after many visits. I still recommend the same appetizers and would steer toward the fish & chips over the burgers or standard fare.

We live in Fort Myers and we have enjoyed coming here often. My previous review of this restaurant was 5 stars. We usually take advantage of happy hour specials, but have had full entrees also. The haddock bites we had were undercooked, the spicy tartar sauce was not mixed thoroughly and didn't taste right. The side of gouda mac, that is usually fantastic was not edible. It was lacking any smoked gouda flavor and it looked like the cook had added water and a few chunks of Velveeta to make it his own ! My wife's side salad had rotten greens and 2 little chunks of tomato. That's it. I mean, one look and we were like how did any of this get out of the kitchen ? !!! The "manager" said that the "chef" had quit. Give me a break. The Chef is at corporate, your line cook sucks ! Your kitchen manager is not doing their job.

We went last night. Tony was our waitstaf and was great. Fried chicken used to be awesome, now scrawny and overcooked. My pecan, blueberry, strawberry spinach salad had 3 pecan halves, a few blueberries and a lot of spinach. Don't order it! What really ruined the entire evening was the DJ (??) with very, very LOUD music on a boombox or whatever he had. We asked Tony - who could barely hear me to please have it turned down. Nothing. Asked for the manager and requested same. DJ said he had to turn it down, then turned it right back up. Loud enough that the table of 6 in the booth behind us got up and left without ordering, and another table left as well with hands over her ears. Not very good manger, IMO. We would have ordered more drinks and stayed but couldn't hear each other in our 4-some talk. Disappointing as our friends had never been there and I doubt will go again. Sad, this use to be our go-to place. Even outside was loud. Unfortunate.
